Postdoctoral Research Assistant (NCEO)

Responsibilities:

• PDRA to Prof Tristan Quaife in the Meteorology Department
• Equality, Diversity and Inclusion champion for the CPEO project in the NCEO International Science Programme.

Research Interests:

• Land Surface Models - running the Joint UK Land Environment Simulator (JULES) to obtain estimates for Gross Primary Production (GPP)
• Data Assimilation – using earth observation datasets to improve estimates of modelled outputs from JULES

Research Projects:

• PRIMARY – Solar Induced Fluorescence informed estimates of Gross PRIMARY Production
• IMITATE – Introducing Machine-Learning Into Targeted Analysis for Terrestrial Ecosystems
• SIFMIP – Solar Induced Fluorescence Model Intercomparison Project
• CPEO - Constraining Coupled Carbon & Water Cycle Processes with Earth Observation
