Who’s who?

Who’s who?

Many teams are working on different aspects of Open Research across the university. This page will guide you through what we all do, and who is best to help you.

Open Research team

We support the University’s research policies, planning and infrastructure, and provide support and training to staff and research students.

To note, the Research Data Management Service sits within the Open Research Team.

UK Reproducibility Network Team

We work with the UKRN to learn from and share practices from other UK universities. We also co-ordinate and support Reading’s Open Research Community

Ask us about the Open Research Community, or anything regarding the UKRN: e.gowie@reading.ac.uk.

Research Software Engineering

We are undertaking initiatives to improve standards in coding/ research software by developing a sustainable program of courses, tutorials, workshops and online resources. We aim to foster a software community of practice at the University, e.g. by helping departments to set up coding clubs and sharing of skills and resources.

Digital Humanities Hub

We work alongside the DH Community of Practice in supporting researchers to build knowledge and skills in DH, to develop and undertake DH research projects, and to maintain digital research outcomes.
