Workshop on Operator Theory and Operator Algebras

University of Reading, Whiteknights campus
16-18 September 2026

Organisers: Catalin Badea and Jani Virtanen

The aim of the workshop is to report on recent advances and open problems in operator
theory and operator algebras, to discuss applications of these fields, and, in particular, to
explore connections between them, which have so far received relatively little attention.
The workshop will provide a forum for established and early-career researchers from both
communities to exchange ideas and identify problems of common interest.
