- Knowledge exchange – working with developers, archaeological organisations, local authorities, government agencies, and academic partners to ensure that specialist expertise informs heritage management, planning and research.
- Public engagement – communicating archaeological and environmental findings through public talks, exhibitions, open days, workshops, and other outreach activities that increase understanding of the historic environment and the value of archaeological science.
- Academic impact – contributing to national and international research through collaborative projects, conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications, helping to advance knowledge in geoarchaeology and palaeoenvironmental science.
- Training and education – supporting the development of students, researchers and heritage professionals through teaching, specialist training, and the supervision of research projects, drawing on the University’s expertise and facilities.
