In Kat’s session we learnt about radically kind, care-centred work with multiple female/marginalised gendered communities. We followed the structure of a participatory performance session, beginning with a warm up to Shakira’s Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) and ending with a virtual sharing of food and drink. Through our experiences we explored what it means to hold space in radical kindness and co-collaborate in defiance of violence against women. We discussed the implications of emancipatory action research methodologies and how they could be embedded into ongoing research practices.
