University of Reading and NHM Evolution Day
Supported by Partnership Seed-Funding, the aim of the day was to bring together scientists from the NHM and UoR to learn more about our shared interests and expertise in the evolution of life. The event was attended by around 50 scientists from both institutions, with talks on diverse topics ranging from people and plants to the evolution of fossil mammals.
The talks were followed by a networking lunch and informal discussions in the afternoon, including breakout groups covering ‘collections and facilities’ and ‘funding and collaborations’. Discussions are ongoing between colleagues and hope to initiate new collaborative projects between the two institutions.
Seed-Funding is available to support the development of collaborative projects to be undertaken by researchers at the University of Reading and the Natural History Museum.
