Amelia Hollywood

Dr Amelia Hollywood is an Associate Professor in Health Services Research at the University of Reading, a HCPC Registered Health Psychologist and Research Fellow at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Hollywood is the Director of the Applied Health Research group at the University of Reading in collaboration with Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Liza Keating

Prof Liza Keating is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Reading.

Prof Keating is the Research Lead for the Emergency Department at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Farhan Ahmad is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and Post Graduate Researcher at the University of Reading.

Clinical Research Fellows

Dr Farhan Ahmad is a Consultant in Interventional Radiology and Post Graduate Researcher at the University of Reading. Farhan has been awarded the University of Reading Regional Bursary to complete his studies alongside clinical work.

His PhD research aims to explore minimal access image guided thyroid treatments. He is registered on the PhD in Applied Health Research programme, supervised by Amelia Hollywood and Sam Bizley.

Emma Duffield

Dr Emma Duffield is an Emergency Medicine trainee and Post Graduate Researcher at the University of Reading. Emma has been awarded the Royal College of Emergency Medicine PhD Fellowship and the Reading & Thames Valley Health Innovation Partnership PhD Studentship to complete her studies alongside clinical work.

Her PhD research aims to improve pain assessment in the Emergency Department (A&E). She is registered on the PhD in Applied Health Research programme, supervised by Amelia Hollywood, Liza Keating, Sarah Wilson and Sam Bizley.

Anna Boniface

Anna Boniface is an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner and Post Graduate Researcher at the University of Reading. Anna has been awarded the University of Reading Centenary PhD Bursary to complete her studies alongside clinical work.

Her PhD research aims to explore the influence of critical illness on menstrual health. She is registered on the PhD in Applied Health Research programme, supervised by Amelia Hollywood, Liza Keating, Jim Watchorn and Flavia Ghouri.

Anisha Lad (PhD in Pharmacy) is undertaking research into the experience of individuals with cancer from ethnic minorities. Supervised by Amelia Hollywood and Maria Maiaru.

Nadia Zaman (PhD in Applied Health Research) is undertaking research into the patient experience of kidney disease and haemodialysis. Supervised by Amelia Hollywood and Sam Bizley.
