Working with Professionals

Wellbeing Hub > What We Do > Support and Training > Working with Professionals

The Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub is focussed on providing quality training and learning experiences for students studying at the university and opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing between professionals working with autistic children and young people in healthcare, education and academic settings.  The Wellbeing Hub is also available to provide consultancy to schools, colleges and organisations.

Student Training

We support psychology placement students who work with us as part of their Master’s degree  Theory and Practice in Clinical Psychology

Our students are trained in modern understandings of autism and in neurodiversity affirming  approaches through our autism awareness training.

They then assist  with a variety of activities to develop their skills in participatory research and clinical practice. For instance, they have transcribed and analysed interviews with autistic young people and are currently helping us evaluate the impact of parent anxiety workshops.
