On October 18, Bolivians over- whelmingly voted for the Movement to Socialism (MAS), setting the country on a path back to democracy, following nearly a year of rightwing authoritarian rule. Journalist and independent scholar Linda Farthing will discuss why MAS won, and what it means for the country, the region, and the world.
Linda Farthing has written three books on Bolivia, and published articles in The Guardian, The Nation, Al Jazeera, and elsewhere.
