Professor George Mengov, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski, Sofia, Bulgaria, is our new academic visitor for the period 15 October – 15 December 2023. George is funded by a prestigious EU research grant. The host is Dr Alexander Mihailov, and the visit is coordinated within the Memorandum of Understanding between the Economics Department of the University of Reading and the FEBA / Sofia University. George will be working mostly in EM319, with occasional moves to EM176 or EM317. Please feel free to drop and say hello to George in EM319, and to chat with him while he stays with us at Reading.
George is Professor of Decision Sciences and specialises in applications of neural networks to understand behaviour. He will be very interested and pleased to talk with many of us – and we do have colleagues who work in experimental and behavioural or computational economics. And, of course, he’ll be attending our seminars and other research events. He is also willing to present his work to us, and will do that most likely in a slot during our internal seminar on 14 December 2023 (to be confirmed).
