On Tuesday 9th June 2020, Dr. Billy Wong (Associate Professor in Widening Participation, University of Reading), together with Dr. Tiffany Chiu (Imperial College London), were invited to talk about their recent research to colleagues at the Institut de physique du globe de Paris (IPGP), part of Paris Diderot University and the French National Centre for Scientific Research.
The seminar focused on the academic success of non-traditional students, as well as the concept of the ideal student in higher education. Originally a face-to-face workshop in Paris, the seminar was adapted for a virtual delivery through the Zoom platform, with an interactive activity based on the ideal student survey.
