On Friday 27th of August 2021, Dr. Nasreen Majid (Associate Professor of Education, University of Reading) gave an on-line invited talk about her research to colleagues at the International Conference Co-Creating a Quality School in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The conference was hosted by Danila Kumar International School in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The conference brough teachers from across the region together with a wide range of presentations, linked to the conference theme.

Dr. Majid’s conference presentation focused on the use of reflective journals in mathematics in Key Stage 2 to develop deeper thinking and understanding of mathematical processes. (For more details on this work, please see her article in the Reference section below) The work was received well with a few teachers wanting to work alongside Dr. Majid to develop this approach in their own settings.

You can find more about her research interests here. She tweets at @DrMajid_nasreen.
