The EINSTEIN Project continued its Trial validation activities with a successful Trial held at 𝗕𝗖𝗣 𝗚𝘆𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘃𝗼, 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟰–𝟭𝟱 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. As the project’s Field Test and Trials Leader, the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) coordinated and participated in the trial together with the Bulgarian Police and project partners from 𝗖𝗗𝗕𝗣, Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH),𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴,Trilateral Research, and 𝗠𝗢𝗕𝗜, evaluating the EINSTEIN solutions in a real border control environment.
During the two-day event, Bulgarian Police personnel received technical and ethical training while testing the project’s applications for faster, more secure identity verification and traveller pre-registration at land border crossing points. The trial provided valuable operational feedback, helping assess the performance, usability, and practical deployment of the developed technologies.
Close collaboration with end users remains a key element of the EINSTEIN Project, ensuring that its solutions respond to the operational requirements of 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗕𝗣) authorities and contribute to more efficient, secure, and user-oriented border management.
