Dr Jessica Bosseaux is a postdoctoral researcher in agricultural economics and management at the University of Reading.
Jessica completed a first Master degree in the European program EMBS integrated in the new European Bologna system of higher education. During these two years composed of 4 semesters in 4 different European countries (Italy – France – Germany – Spain), she wrote a master thesis about the economic actors’ perception of Fair Trade in France and Europe, including companies, NGOs and institutions. After a professional experience at the European Commission, she completed a research master in La Sorbonne University in Paris, and then enrolled in a PhD programme in the Laboratory of Excellence (LabEx) at Montpellier University in France. She was awarded her PhD with honours in 2020. In 2021, she was a visiting researcher for 6 month at the National University of Colombia in Bogota before starting her new position in Reading.
Her research interests lie in sustainable agrifood systems, food consumption, land use and value creation.
Jessica taught economics at Polytech Montpellier for two years. Since 2019, she teaches European economics, international finance and research methodology at IAE Montpellier.
