Dr Lorna Zischka is a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at University of Reading. She works with the Participatory Action Research team, particularly in data analysis. Her interests lie in poverty alleviation and social justice, and she has worked with development NGOs for over a decade before pursuing these interests at the University of Reading. Lorna’s research into the central role of interpersonal relationships on community outcomes can be read in her book, ‘Giving behaviours and social cohesion: How people who ‘give’ make better communities.’ Recent examples of research that has been co-produced with local communities and in which Lorna has had some involvement can be found on the University of Reading’s ‘Community-Based Research‘ website.
