Manik Puranik

Manik is currently working as a Senior Teaching and Research Technician, based in the Food and Nutritional Sciences Department in the School of Chemistry, Food and Nutritional Sciences and Pharmacy. Her role involves supporting students in laboratory practical classes and in research laboratories. Responsibilities include providing technical support activities for undergraduate and postgraduates practical classes, which include setting up labs, equipment, preparation of bacterial cultures, media preparation as well demonstrating class practical. She also works as a part-time Research Technician for a BBSRC project, where her responsibilities include providing technical support activities associated with preparing and analysing the samples.

She has recently been recognised as AFHEA fellow in higher education via FLAIR framework which is accredited by Advance Higher Education (HE). She has also completed professional registration through the Science Council and is now a Registered Scientist (RSci) with the Institute of Science and Technology.
