We are excited to announce that Alan Howard, the original artist of Reading’s Central Club Black History Memorial (CCBHM), will be giving a talk at the University of Reading to discuss the origins, symbolism and significance of his Mural. The artwork which has been listed by the council as “asset of community value” features key figures in black history including Harriet Tubman, Olaudah Equiano, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X, Toussaint Louverture and Bob Marley.
