Aliénor Lavergne is a Post-Doc Research Associate in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at the University of Reading.

Her interests are centred on understanding the interactions between the terrestrial carbon and water cycles and vegetation functions under changing environmental conditions. Her work combines different ecological datasets (e.g. stable isotopes in leaves, tree rings or soils, eddy-covariance measurements, remote sensing) and vegetation models of different complexities (e.g. P model, JULES land surface model) to gain a mechanistic understanding of key physical and biological drivers.

She is currently working on the LEMONTREE project implementing carbon isotopes in the P model and developing a new approach to predict competition between C3 and C4 plants.
