Pascal Schneider is a PhD student at the University of Bern, working with Professor Benjamin Stocker.

Pascal has worked on the thermal acclimation of photosynthesis and the modeling of leaf temperatures.

His research will focus the acquisition and allocation of nutrient as an optimal balance of nitrogen supply from roots and carbon supply from leaves. His strategy includes testing eco-evolutionary optimality principles against big datasets (e.g., Fluxnet, FACE) to better understand the interplay of the nitrogen and carbon cycles.
