Ruijie Ding is a PhD student at Imperial College London under the supervision of Prof. Colin Prentice.

Ruijie’s current work focuses on the relationships between climate change and the allocation of carbon and nitrogen to different plant compartments based on eco-evolutionary optimality theories. Ruijie will explore this coupling to investigate how the carbon costs of nitrogen acquisition vary with environmental conditions, a key concept for the development of next-generation terrestrial carbon and nitrogen cycle models.
