Yicheng Shen is a PhD student at the University of Reading under the supervision of Prof. Sandy Harrison and Prof. Colin Prentice.

Yicheng’s current work focuses on the relationships between fire and fire-related plant traits (e.g. resprouting). The overarching goal of this project is to develop a theoretical model of plant behaviour in response to environmental gradients, including the incidence of fire, that can be used to predict the impact of fire on ecosystems.
