“When I Was In Primary School I Wish…”

These are some of the things that our LGBTQ+ participants have said they wish they had when they were at primary school. Please do email as if you would like to add a wish yourself.

‘…teachers would have introduced the LGTB+ topic in class or assemblies, so when I met a gay classmate it didn’t shock me that much to behave so mean and aggressive with them.’

‘…teachers recognised and accepted me so if any bad happened to me I knew I could have approached her/him for help and support.’

‘…my parents would have explained to me that there is not just one type of love and what I was feeling was perfectly normal and acceptable.’
