Please note that the Open Research Champions Programme is currently paused.
The University of Reading Open Research Champions are a community of research-connected staff and research students working across the University to promote Open Research, provide information and support to peers and colleagues, and facilitate the adoption of open and reproducible research practices.
The Champions programme launched in April 2021 and now has 25 Champions across nine University Schools and Technical Services, ranging from research student to Professor. Champions work together within their Schools and as a University community to spread Open Research awareness, knowledge and skills, and to support the use of open practices in research. Champions have also engaged in a number of projects to develop Open Research culture and practice.
We host regular Open Research Forum meetings, which provide opportunities for members of the University’s research community to share Open Research knowledge, ideas and skills. If you are a University of Reading member you can find recordings of previous meetings here.
