Registration

All attendees must register online to attend the ParaChute conference.  Everyone who is scheduled to give an oral or poster and/or attending must be registered.

Registration Fees

Other attendee classes (such as invited speakers) can be selected if you have been advised to do so by the conference organisers.

 

* An early career scientist is defined as a student, a PhD candidate, or a practising scientist who received their highest certificate (e.g. BSc, MSc or PhD) within the past seven years.

Accommodation

  • We have block booked University of Reading Childs Hall of Residence bed and breakfast accommodation which should be booked and paid for along with your registration.
  • When registering, each night must be selected individually, the rooms (including breakfast). are priced at £91.80 for Sunday (12th) and Friday (17th) nights, and £76.50 for each night Monday (13th) – Thursday (16th).

  • This hall of residence is less than 10 minutes walk to the conference venue, through the quiet University of Reading campus.
  • Alternatively, the University of Reading Hospitality Team have also negotiated the best rates with some of the local hotels on your behalf so you can book directly with the hotel. Registration Policy

  • Everyone presenting (both oral and poster) and/or attending the ParaChute conference must register.
  • Early bird registration rates are valid until 05 June 2026 at 2359 BST.
  • Conference registration includes the 5-days conference entrance, coffee breaks for each conference day, and lunches. For those registered for the conference, you are asked to register to attend “Ice-Breaker” on the Monday evening and “Conference dinner”  that will take place on the Thursday evening, both of which have no further fee on top of the conference registration.
  • Payment for registrations will be accepted by credit card only and must be completed online.
  • Cancellation policy: Those registered may cancel their registration up until and through 22 June 2026 at 2359 BST. Refunds (less a £15 processing fee) will be granted. Please email registration@venuereading.com to request the cancellation. After the cancellation deadline, no refunds will be granted for cancelled registrations.
