Communities & Participation Workshop
We held a really engaging and inspiring workshop on Communities & Participation: Thinking and Doing Collaborative Research at the University of Reading on 19 May 2016. Over 60 people participated, including 20 practitioners and our external speakers, Prof. Rachel Pain, Dr. Kye Askins and Dr. Julie Doyle, John Ord (Big Local), Chris Bloomfield (Reading Borough Council), Mo McSevney (Whitley Researchers) and Danni Dorn (UoR/ Whitley Researchers). The Workshop slides and photos give a flavour of the workshop and a poster of learning points will follow soon. Many thanks to Sue Beasley, Agatha Herman, Sarah Lambert-Gates, Jamie Pyper, Jordan Lomas, Dennis Mailu and our other postgraduate helpers for their assistance. This was our first annual event and we look forward to continuing the conversations and debates at future Lab workshops @ Reading!
