We will be holding a series of Resilience Fairs in local primary (Year 6) and secondary (Year 7) schools in March 2024 through to July 2024. Eight schools across Reading, Newbury, Oxfordshire, and Wokingham are taking part.

At their school’s Resilience Fair, each child will be given a Resilience Rucksack and be able to visit four Fair booths or stations where they will find out all about the four themes that can help support our wellbeing and resilience: Healthy sleep practices (sleeping well), Physical activity (moving more during the day), Social support and relationships (with a focus on friendships), and self-compassion (being kind to yourself).

After hearing a brief evidence-based presentation from our booth presenters, the children will then be able to choose which wellbeing tools they would like to select to put into their very own Resilience Rucksack to carry with them and use at both school and home.

The wellbeing tools the children will be able to choose from include:

Sleep Well, Being‘ – our colourful graphic comic – supporting the ‘healthy sleep practices’ theme

Somni – The RR Sleep & Daylight song‘ – our upbeat pop song – supporting the ‘healthy sleep practices’ theme

The Sport in Mind Journal kit – supporting the ‘Physical activity’ theme
