Cheng Xunchang (School of Arts and Communication Design) has been awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship by the British Academy for the research project “A critical examination of Chinese typeface design: dilemmas in the Mechanical Age and opportunities in the Digital Age, 1940s–1990s.”

Andrew Daymond (School of Agriculture Policy & Development) has received a research grant from the Association of Swiss Chocolate Manufacturers (Chocosuisse) towards the International Cocoa Quarantine Centre.

Chris Holloway (School of Mathematical Physical & Computational Sciences) has received a studentship grant from the MET Office for research on “Cloud feedbacks on tropical climate at subseasonal scales.”

Daniel Lamport (School of Psychology & Clinical Language Sciences) has been awarded a Knowledge Transfer Partnership from Innovate UK to revolutionize wellness. The project is a collaboration between the University and Nirvana Spa that aims to develop evidence-based packages combining spa therapies nutrition and education. Integrating psychological and nutritional science, this project will create innovative, tailored programs, enhancing mental and physical health, setting industry standards and positioning Nirvana Spa as a wellness leader.
