In January 2017, more than 40 institutions from Burkina Faso, Ghana and the UK were present in Accra for the BRAVE Project Annual General Meeting.
The BRAVE project builds understanding of climate variability into planning of groundwater supplies from low storage acquifiers in Africa. It is run by Professor Rosalind Cornforth, director of the Walker Institute, supported by Dr Henny Osbahr (SAPD) and other researchers from the University of Reading. Henny, together with CARE Ghana and Christian Aid Sahel, lead on the ‘Understand Vulnerabilities in Communities’ aspect of the project. The presentation of the findings on vulnerabilities may be found here.
