Research bites lunchtime talk: Safeguarding children in conflict and crisis (Professor Rosa Freedman, School of Law)
Event Navigation
Children in conflict zones are safer thanks to robust guidelines developed by Professor Freedman in partnership with the specialist organisation, Keeping Children Safe. The guidelines are transforming the way peacekeeping forces are recruited and trained and help ensure international standards for child safeguarding are applied worldwide.
One of our series of lunchtime talks about how research at Reading is addressing twenty-first century challenges.
At 1pm each weekday between Monday 30 September and Wednesday 9 October you can find out more about the research projects displayed in the library foyer (exhibition runs 30 September – 12 October).
Each day, in an informal ten-minute presentation, one of the finalists from the University’s Research Engagement and Impact Awards will present their life-changing work and answer any questions you might have.
Each event will last no longer than 30 minutes.
