The Importance of Comparative Common Law: A View from Singapore with Justice Andrew Phang

In this lecture, Justice Phang will demonstrate the importance of comparative common law, utilising case law illustrations from Singapore in the Law of Contract, the Law of Tort and the Law of Unjust Enrichment.

He will demonstrate the importance of the role of a comparative approach towards common law in the development of one’s own domestic common law.

Justice Phang is a Senior Judge at the Supreme Court of Singapore, and visiting Professor of Law at the University of Reading.
