Up in Arms: posters for protest, solidarity, engagement and action puts posters of protest front and centre.
The exhibition has been curated to align with our annual conference, ‘Publishing Anti-fascism’ convened and organised by Ellen Pilsworth.
The exhibition includes material from the collection of twentieth-century posters from the Lettering, Printing and Graphic Design Collections in the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication. It displays posters from a range of sources, some designed by well-known designers including Robin Fior and David King. The exhibition was curated and designed by Clara Fidler-Brown as part of her experience as a Collections Assistant, with support from Ellen Pilsworth, Emma Minns, Sue Walker and Geoff Wyeth.
