Applied knowledge is fundamental to the School of the Built Environment and is central to our teaching and research activity. We have always worked closely with industry partners and value the role this plays in informing research with beneficial impact across urban life. Our experience in hosting an EPSRC Industrial Doctorate Centre engaged a strong network of industry partners and fuelled research strands embracing the challenges facing industry today. Our industry engaged research now encompasses diverse project types from student dissertations, through sponsored doctorates to Innovate UK funded partnerships and beyond.
