Xiaowei Lyu

Xiaowei Lyu took both her bachelor and master’s degree in Harbin Institute of Technology. She has a background of civil engineering and architecture science and technology. She is very interested in indoor environmental equality and smart buildings.

Due to the pandemic, she is focusing her research in the field of aerosol transmission, especially the application of Wells-Riley equation.

Her project will seek to decrease the infection risk of COVID-19 via engineering control such as ventilation control. Methodology such as machine learning is going to be integrated in future studies in order to mitigate indoor air quality of different scenarios.
