Centre for Cardiovascular imaging

Our researchers have access to cutting-edge facilities that support the spectrum of cardiovascular and metabolic research. These include access to in-vitro and in-vivo imaging technologies and advanced microscopy. These specialist facilities make the School of Biological Sciences an ideal place for students and researchers of the biomedical sciences and are open upon booking to external users.

Hugh Sinclair Human Nutrition Group

The Hugh Sinclair Human Nutrition group is internationally recognised for its research examining the role of diet and nutrition on cardiometabolic health and disease risk, with particular expertise in lipoprotein metabolism, insulin resistance, inflammation and vascular function. We are inviting adults of all ages and background to participate in a variety of exciting nutrition-related studies

The chemical Analysis facility is a state-of-the-art instrument suite that underpins the chemical aspect of world-class research at the University of Reading across a number of Biological and Physical Sciences areas.

CINN

The centre for Integrative Neurosciences and Neurodynamics (CINN) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Reading. We take a multilevel approach to the study of brain and behaviour. The centre is home to an advanced suite of neuroimaging technologies, a potent analytics platform, and expertise in the theory and practice of interdisciplinarity.

Off-campus facilities

We have access to a number of world-class facilities including DIAMOND Light Source national synchrotron and the MRC Harwell Institute located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire less than 30 km from the University of Reading.
