I am honoured to have received funding by the British Academy for an Academy Research Project which will allow us to expand Multipic to include naming norms in 8 under-resourced languages from four linguistic families: Celtic (Scottish Gaelic, Cornish), Romance (Lombard, Emilian), Slavic (Silesian, Kashubian) and Germanic (Scots, Alemannic). This follows up from funding I recently received from the Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism which will help norm Multipic in Romanian and Albanian. By the end of both projects, Multipic will be available in more than 50 languages- and we can always add more!
