The DARE network hosts
- Monthly webinars
- Workshops on cross-cutting topics featuring research showcases, commercial engagement events, public outreach activities and discussions on strategic and policy issues, including defining the future research agenda. Each workshop will have concrete outcomes designed to engage the participants e.g., journal review or discussion article; opportunities to bid for pilot projects (see below); research roadmap for EPSRC/RCUK.
- Training courses in urban observations, models and data science for early career scientists,
- Industry study groups (intensive problem solving weeks addressing industry questions),
- £25k pilot projects to kick-start collaborative activities between network members. This approach has proved successful in Dance’s work on the FFIR programme. At least one pilot project will fund development of a science festival interactive exhibit.
