Thursday 13th December 2018 was a special day for our postgraduate research community as we celebrated the academic success of ten very talented doctoral students here at the University of Reading’s Institute of Education (IoE). Specifically, we would like to congratulate six of our PhD students (Dr. Hebah Sheerah, Dr. Jassim Alazemi, Dr. Manar Alarfaj, Dr. Maria Aaron, Dr. Norah Alzahrani and Dr. Peter Ogudoro) and four of our EdD students (Dr. Denise Mosher, Dr. Georgina Kilner, Dr. Rimmer Wayne and Dr. Terence McAdams) who have now officially graduated and are on their way to make important and impactful contribution to the field of education around the world.

At the celebratory event before the graduation ceremony, doctoral supervisors got a chance to congratulate some of their doctoral students in person and to meet their friends and family members. Here, IoE supervisors also got a chance to informally acknowledge the significant contribution that Emeritus Professor Paul Croll has made to the IoE’s postgraduate research community by having had supervised around 20 doctoral students, with his last doctoral student graduated on the day.
We very much look forward to celebrating academic achievement of our many more doctoral students next year!
