Dr. Pengchong (Anthony) Zhang (Lecturer in Second Language Learning) has recently been appointed as Early Career Researcher (ECR) Representative on the Institute of Education’s Research Committee. His role is to represent ECRs in all IoE research-related decision-making. 

Prof. Carol Fuller (Education, Language and Learning Research Division Lead) commented on this new role that “It is very important to include ECRs in research related discussions. They not only have specific training and support needs, they also have much to offer”.

On his appointment. Dr. Zhang commented that: “I am very grateful for this appointment. I will take this opportunity to learn from senior researchers and to speak up on behalf of other ECRs in research-related decision-making.”
