Dr. Billy Wong (Associate Professor in Widening Participation, University of Reading) and his colleague – Dr. Peter Kemp (Principal Investigator) from King’s College London – have been successful in being awarded c.£243,000 from the Nuffield Foundation.

This three-year project is titled ‘Exploring female computing performance and subject choice in English schools’, and will start in March 2021, with the aim to explore factors that explain female performance and participation in secondary school level computing, with a particular focus on computer science (CS) exams.
