In the Autumn 2022 term alone, six doctoral students have successfully graduated at the University of Reading’s Institute of Education (IoE). On behalf of the IoE’s PhD programme and EdD programme, we would like to congratulate our graduates below who, no doubt, will go on to create impact in the field of education here in the UK and abroad.

Dr. Fatima Zahra Abbou – The identities and lived/career experiences of Algerian female academics at universities: A feminist postcolonial perspective (Supervisors: Dr. Karen Jones and Dr. Billy Wong)

 

EdD

Dr. Gemma Pawson – Supervision in the Early Years: A case study of ten nurseries within the private sector. (Supervisors: Dr. Geoff Taggart and Professor Helen Bilton)

Dr. Johann Scheffer – What are the experiences and perceptions of leadership education and development for clinical leaders in the Emergency Department (ED) of an English NHS Acute Trust? (Supervisors: Professor Alan Floyd and Dr. Nasreen Majid)

 

On Friday 9th December 2022, some of these graduates and those who had successfully passed their viva earlier this year also attended the graduation ceremony.
