Researchers at the University has have more funding success this month with funds awarded by research councils and a learned society. The awards will be distributed across four new research projects.

Professor Richard Harris (Institute of Education) has been awarded funding from the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues for an examination of LGBTQ+ Students’ lived experiences in high schools.

Dr Stephen Elmore (Food & Nutritional Sciences) has been awarded a grant from the Biotechnology and Biological Research Council to investigate the development of a Predictive model of formation of relevant meat aroma molecules in a binary phase emulsion vegetable oil water system.

Dr Shai Kassirer (Geography & Environmental Science) has been awarded funding by the Economic and Social Research Council for the project Droughts & Climate Resilience Policy and Advocacy Discourses: depoliticisation of water scarcity and desalination technology

Dr Shannon Wake (School of Psychology & Clinical Language Sciences) has been awarded funding by the Economic and Social Research Council for the project The role of Social Anxiety in Threat Extinction and Avoidance: Bridging the gap between Research and The Clinic.
