About

Thomas Bashford-Rogers is an Associate Professor at the University of Warwick. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Graphics in 2011 and has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Bristol. His research interests are focused on rendering and high dynamic range imaging, specifically Monte Carlo sampling and MCMC methods for light transport simulation, material models for surface appearance, simulating natural phenomena such as sky illumination, machine learning for graphics and vision, game technologies and quantum computing. He is especially interested in how to represent, replicate and manipulate what we see in the real-world in computer graphics, and how this can be presented to people in a natural manner.
