About

Jassim Happa is a Lecturer in Information Security in the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway. His research aims to empower lay people, risk owners and security analysis to make well-informed decisions through novel cyber security visualizations, threat modelling, situational awareness, dependency modelling, resilience, and cyber threat intelligence. In his research projects he has been responsible for developing and assessing novel methods and tools for cybersecurity and computer graphics applications. His research in cyber security began primarily on investigating security logs, but has in more recent years expanded to include human factors in decision making, including investigating topics related to the intersection of computer graphics and security such as deepfake detection, disinformation campaign detection, and computer vision for security applications.
