About

Jonathan Boyle is a highly experienced AI specialist with over 13 years in the field, with a primary focus of using Computer Vision AI techniques to enhance Border Security. This long experience comes from over 7 EU FP7/Horizon projects, developing many different types of innovative AI and AI related tools within the vast Border Security domain. Jonathan has a keen interest in numerous areas of AI beyond the Border Security domain, including the recently popularised field of generative AI. This field is not a new one in terms of technical expertise. The technical development and implementation of such systems on personal devices rather than cloud-based systems. This approach stems from a strong emphasis for user privacy of these tools, including the use of devices not connected to the internet. Another crucial aspect for Jonathan is the accessibility and ease-of-use of such technologies. He actively engages with the open source community and strives to simplify the complexity of AI and other related tools. Jonathan ultimately aims to help in bringing all forms of technology to people in as explainable and understandable form as possible.
