Allán Laville who will deliver a talk entitled Make Your Own Kind of Music: reflections on being autistic and navigating life

In this talk, Al will cover his own journey of self-discovery and how being autistic has helped him to flourish in the workplace. He will cover his journey from school days to University to the present day and include detail some of the challenges along the way. Al will also present his work in the neurodiversity space and highlight why neurodiversity inclusion is crucial.

The content of this talk is suitable for all to attend and will be recorded. There will be time for questions.

About Allán Laville
Professor Allán Laville is Professor of Equity in Psychology and Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Reading. Allán is an Advance HE National Teaching Fellow and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS). He is co-author of the NHS England and LGBT Foundation Talking Therapies LGBTQ+ Positive Practice Guide.

The Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub
The Wellbeing Hub is a new initiative, funded by University of Reading Alumni. The aim of the Hub is to bring together autistic people, their families, practitioners and researchers to co-produce and deliver neurodiversity-affirming activities that support autistic young people and their families to thrive and flourish.
