The Reading Centre for Climate and Justice is a platform for work that puts justice front and centre in understanding the problems of climate change, and researching solutions to them.

The Centre’s distinctive proposition is to deploy the breadth of climate expertise at the University of Reading to identify gaps in knowledge, and emerging areas, in which a justice-focused approach would generate leaps forward in our understanding of the human response to climate change.

Our work provides an evidence based platform for agents of change to seek climate solutions that protect and benefit those most vulnerable to climate change: the world’s poorest people, both now and in the future. And we look to these groups, and those who speak for them, for insight into overlooked and under-examined problems of climate and justice.
