Meet our partners

FoodBioSystems DTP draws on expertise and training opportunities from a wealth of partners across agriculture, food manufacture, food retail, government and non-government organisations.

We aim to tackle challenges in the food system and develop a world-class, highly skilled workforce that the UK agri-food sector needs for its future. To achieve this our consortium of six universities collaborates within a multidisciplinary community consisting of over 60 external organisations. This community includes consumer and food related associations, learned societies, non-government and government organisations, charities, start-ups, small and medium enterprises, and global companies. The involvement of non-academic organisations is important for creating a stimulating, dynamic and inter-disciplinary research training environment with direct relevance to industry and policy. Our partners have a wide variety of roles within the DTP, from supporting CASE studentships or placements, to providing training or in-kind research support.
