Huracán ‘Big Doc’
Huracán Documentation
An overall summary of definitions, datasets, software and other important information.
Cyclone-tracking algorithms
TRACK
Feature tracking based on spectrally filtered fields as well as various analysis utilities, such as cyclone-centred sampling, cyclone phase-space computation, and density calculations (Hodges et al., 1995; Hodges et al., 1999).
TempestExtremes
Software package for nodal and areal feature tracking, including support for unstructured grids, as well as various analysis utilities, such as cyclone-centred sampling and compositing (Ullrich et al., 2017; Ullrich et al., 2021).
WiTRACK
Windstorm identification algorithm based on a given wind-speed threshold to determine storm footprints and surface impacts (Leckebusch et al., 2008).
Cyclone-focussed data analysis in Python
huracanpy (Huracán development)
Package for reading, analysing and visualising cyclone track data in most formats.
CPyS
Package for computing cyclone phase-space parameters.
storm_assess
Package for reading TRACK and TempestExtremes output (superseded by huracanpy).
TroPYcal
Package for visualisation of IBTrACS and forecast datasets.
