Charlie is a PhD student applying eco-evolutionary optimality modelling to simulate cereal crop yields under changing climate and management strategies. His research extends a light-use efficiency model to represent biomass production and yield across major cereal crops, exploring how climate change, including more frequent temperature and drought extremes, influences yields, management, and future distributions of cereal crops across the globe.
