Boya Zhou

Boya is a PDRA in Eco-Evolutionary Optimality (EEO) vegetation modelling at the University of Reading and a member of the LEMONTREE project. Her research focuses on integrating existing EEO components into a coherent framework and supporting the implementation of this framework within the JULES and EC-LAND land-surface models.

During her PhD at Imperial College London, she developed an EEO-based model to simulate leaf area dynamics and provided a complete leaf carbon allocation framework. She also developed an empirical model for global-scale reproductive carbon allocation, investigating the key environmental drivers of reproductive carbon allocation.
